Right-Click to SurfSaver Save not appearing any more in IE
Posted: 20 Jul 2008 05:59 PM
The Right-click for SurfSaver in Internet Explorer suddenly disappeared from my Internet Explorer 7.0.
I uninstalled, then Re-installed Surfsaver 6.1 but the problem is still there.

I found a solution for older versions of SurfSaver in the faq but it is really complicated and involves a lot of work in the Registry.

Is there another simpler way ?

In fact all items in the Registry were correct and still SurfSaver was not appearing in the Context Menu of IE.

The problem is solved in the following way:

- It appears that the Context Menu of Internet Explorer admits only a limited number of items
- When you install a new program, if it adds too many items to the context menu, the bottom items will just disappear to show the new ones.
- The solution is to delete some items that are not being used from the Context Menu
- This can easily be done with the following free utility: "contextmenueditorinstall.exe"
- This utility can be found at: http://www.bartdart.com/

- However, once an item is thus deleted it can be restored only by re-installing its Application
