removing multiple links

Is there a way to remove multiple external links. I have a large document imported from another source that is full of unwanted hypertext links, and I'd like to clear them all. I can do one at a time by highlighting and selecting Clear Hypertext Link, but I really want to clear them all, and there are hundreds...
