| I agree with Felix - import shouldn't be giving you a problem.
Do make sure you leave Auto Field Recognition set at "No" & that you're importing into your entry form.

| Option 1
Export all your documents as an ask file. Then import them into a new, blank database. Test & if all is working well, delete the old file & use this one instead.
Option 2
Use this if you have a menu structure, reports & entry forms that you want to keep. But not if the documents have attachments.
1. Make a copy of your file.
2. Using this copy, export all your documents (except for any you might be using for your menu structure) using the comma delimited option.
3. Once the ... |

| Easy solution. Add a field to the end (name it whatever - freetxt or something). Use the wizard on your existing entry form and setting the data type for the new field as Multi-line (Memo). You can now tab to it & type away as much as you like.

| Yes, direct support on this forum is spotty at best. It's more users helping users. Your issue looks to be of a more complicated variety.
Have you tried emailing tech@asksam.com? They've been good in responding to me & others.

| Given the size of your file & the simplicity of the field structure, in my opinion the easiest way to accomplish this would be to do an export/import process into a new entry form. Here are the basic steps:
1. Make a back-up copy of your file.
2. Export your current info as a comma-delimited file.
3. Delete all current documents.
4. Make a new entry form with the fields you want, in the order you want, pre-filling the NewA[ field with YES.
5. Delete the original entry form.
6. Import ... |

| Check for Updates does work - mine took a while too, probably the server hosting the update file is slow or was busy. Try again & leave it for a while.
There is a setting under Tools/Options for "Auto check for updates" - if you select Yes it will check every 30 days.
If you want to download the full version, just click on Submit without filling anything out - filling out the form is not mandatory. But if you're going to install the full version, you're probably best to uninstall the ... |
