| Is there a way to remove multiple external links. I have a large document imported from another source that is full of unwanted hypertext links, and I'd like to clear them all. I can do one at a time by highlighting and selecting Clear Hypertext Link, but I really want to clear them all, and there are hundreds...

| I am having the same problem. I do have full administrator rights. I've tried doing the update from within AS 138 and also downloading. If I choose "Modify" it appears to work, but nothing is changed. If I choose "Repair" I get an error window that the msi file cannot be found.

| I disabled the start page as well, because it appeared to be forcing a file modified update to any files on the left hand pane of recent files.
It hasn't come back when I open normally, but if I open by double-clicking on an AS7 file (.ask) it opens with the start page. |

Unable to import Thunderbird under Vista-64

| AS7...137 seems to be working fine except for import of email from Thunderbird. It is all set up as it should be, but when I click on the "Import" button on the import email dialogue I get a message saying "An internal error has occurred" which, when I close it by pressing OK, it goes to the usual
"Email Import Status" window but indicates no import. It seems to be stuck on "Initializing" and then the Close button goes from grayed to pressable.
Thanks for any help. I really rely on askSam ... |

| I found that if I disable the user permission function (giving access to the various folders and allowing program operations "free rein") fixed the problem I was having importing email, (unless that was something in the 138 build.) All working fine and very fast now...
Thanks much.

| I had a similar problem with Win Vista 64, and found that if I disable the user permission function (giving access to the various folders and allowing operations) the update worked fine. This also appears to have fixed the problem I was having importing email, unless that was something in the 138 build.
Thanks much.

Search and Replace Wild Cards

| Even though the online help says that wild cards cannot be used in Search and Replace, I just found out (because I tried it) that I can use ^p to search for and replace carriage returns. This is a great way to clean up extraneous returns and white space.
So my question: are there any other "caret" codes for searching for other such items? Rather than try them all, I thought I'd ask. There is no mention of this in the help file or the manual. Are other "Word" style searches allowed?

| I get the same error message, and it happens whether I choose "Update" from the Beta Time Elapsed window, or from within the program using Help > Check for Updates. I'm using build 128.

email import folders not available

| I reported this bug way back in an earlier version of the Beta; I just downloaded 128 and installed the patch, and I still have the same problem.
Using Thunderbird, in which I have email sub-folders, I am unable, using the Browse function of set folders to reach any of them. In fact, I can't reach any different folders at all: the "OK" button remains grayed out regardless of which folder in the profile I choose.
Since archiving email is my primary use for asksam, this renders version 7 ... |
