| It is a shame if your news is true. BUT I still like the product (at least to version 6.1.2). It is invaluable to me to track the various tech knowledge I need. Unlike some users, AS has never failed me! I have never lost a file or record or any data. I know I'm not as heavy a user as some, I only have 100's of records not 1000's. But it does what i need and it does it well. Quite frankly, to add bells and whistles is fine, but products like MS Word and such, that constantly add stuff just ... |

| I surveyed the latest postings to the forum and still see a number of problems with AS7. Can those currently using AS7, answer this question:
Is it worth upgrading?
I have tried the trial version several times and I like some of the features but I haven't been WOWed! My current version (6.1.2) is great, no problems, serves me well very day.
So are there reasons that I should upgrade? Are there vital functions, I'm missing?
I have used AS since the DOS days and it has never failed ... |

| I'm trying to import a simple TXT file into a AS file and I get error message: "The import.dll is having a problem, please contact technical support..."
Then AS remains locked and I have to use the task manager to stop AS from running...
I've consulted the forums and it says to rename mapi32.dll and then run Fixmapi.exe. Problem is, its says I don't have the right permission to rename mapi32 even though I am the administrator
for this machine!!!
Any ideas what to do next??

| Paul suggested that I uninstall this version of AS and install the newest version 6.1.2.810. I did that and that SOLVED the problem. Import works fine.... |

| When I try to use cal-2009.ask (2009 calendar template) it says it needs a newer version of AS. I haven't upgraded to 7+ yet. Is there a template available for ver 6+

| Thanks, Paul, for the quick response. I works great. Keep up the good work. I know you get alot of pressure from users but for a small company, you do alright. Hell, Microsoft with billions in resources and 1000 of workers still put out lousy software!!! Just my opinion....

Using address template & report " labels 3 wide"

| I used the address template (v.7). I duplicated the same record 8 times. I put the number of the doc in front of the first name to see which ones print where. I used report "labels (3 wide)"
3 curious things happen:
1) first label is blank (probably because the first doc is the information page)
2) no line break between labels
3) it ignores doc 4. I simply doesn't show/print it!!!

Importing email and entry forms

| Using the AS7 beta (7.0.2.125), I tried to import email from Outlook 2003. I choose to have it import into entry form but it doesn't do it properly. It creates the entry form but does not populate the fields. It just sticks the message under the entry form and creates a blank entry form (JUST like in ver 6) |

| I know you can unlink a hypertext link from within your document but I see no way to delete the actual link when you go to __ Document > Set Hypertext Link > and then you get list that starts off with "Bookmarks in Current Document" Is there a way do delete these links at this point? |
