Right-Click to SurfSaver Save not appearing any more in IE 7/20/2008 5:59:48 PM   (Total replies: 1)
The Right-click for SurfSaver in Internet Explorer suddenly disappeared from my Internet Explorer 7.0. I uninstalled, then Re-installed Surfsaver 6.1 but the problem is still there. I found a solution for older versions of SurfSaver in the faq but it is really complicated and involves a lot of work in the Registry. Is there another simpler way ?

SurfSaver now does not appear on the Add/Remove in Controle Panel. However it can still be disabled / enabled from the Add-In Manager in Internet Explorer. There should be a clear procedure for uninstalling SurfSaver: It seems that uninstalling just from the Add/Remove Screen does not do the job. Maybe it should first be disabled from the Add-In Manager in IE before being uninstalled by the Add/Remove...

Just as a reminder: I am using Windows XP. I solved my problem by just installing the "surfsaverfullsetup.exe" program (this is not the one recommended for Win XP on the AskSam Web Site!!). I did the installation over my old one. I initially had used the "surfsaversetup.exe" which was recommended for Win XP on the web site. Once installed, not only it did not work but it refused to uninstall.
